I’m Autumn Brannon, an elementary art teacher passionate about creating meaningful, hands-on experiences that help young students explore the world through art. This summer, I’m traveling through the Netherlands to study the connections between art, engineering, and traditional pottery. I’ll be visiting museums featuring both classic and modern art, exploring the iconic Delft pottery museum, and touring the Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage Site to learn more about Dutch innovation in water engineering. My goal is to bring these experiences back to my classroom—translating them into engaging lessons and projects that inspire creativity and curiosity.
